Snap hires software engineers across its camera and AR platform, messaging, content and Spotlight, ads, and backend infrastructure, and runs a fast, technically demanding loop that usually wraps in three to six weeks. The process is a recruiter screen (which often probes your experience with Java, Go, or C++), a 60-minute HackerRank technical phone screen with one or two coding problems and a brief project deep-dive, then a virtual onsite of four to five rounds — commonly three coding rounds plus a system design round (for mid-level and up), a behavioural round, and an informal cross-functional chat. The Snap interview process
