Accenture Interview Questions & Process

Strategy Consulting · Case Interviews

Updated July 2026

Accenture is a global leader in professional services and technology strategy, working with large organisations on digital transformation, IT modernisation, cloud adoption and sustainable technology architecture. It looks for quantitative judgment, communicative leadership, inclusive teamwork and real curiosity about technology, and the full process usually takes four to six weeks.

After the application and resume screen comes an online assessment that puts you inside a scenario rather than a question list, testing data interpretation, problem solving, resilience and work agility through the choices you make. A group exercise follows, typically four to six candidates analysing a digital-transformation case together, agreeing an action plan and presenting it to observers under a short time limit. Then an individual strategic case interview, then a final behavioural conversation with a senior leader about career alignment, mobility and commitment.

Three case-question types recur and are worth recognising by name: The Great Unknown, which tests how you ask questions when data is thin, Back of the Envelope, which tests rapid estimation, and Parade of Facts, which tests whether you can filter a large data set down to a clear recommendation.

The group exercise is where candidates most often misjudge what is being scored. Assessors are not rewarding the loudest person in the room. They watch whether you communicate clearly, listen, build on other people's points and bring quieter teammates in. A computing background is not required, and business, humanities and engineering backgrounds are all viable.

The cost of walking in unprepared

Accenture's process spans 5 distinct stages, often compressed into a single high-pressure loop. Most candidates only find out they weren't ready once the result lands.
