Arden University Pre-CAS Interview Questions 2026
Full Interview · Country · University · Course · Career Plans · Finances
Updated July 2026Arden University runs its own credibility interview for international applicants and is unusually explicit about what it tests: alongside course knowledge, funding and intent, the interview doubles as a check on spoken English, and Arden's own guidance warns that answers based on 'what you think the interviewer wants to hear' harm credibility. Arden publishes roughly seventy example questions - the most explicit list in the sector - including document-verification probes ('Are these original documents?', 'Will the Home Office be able to contact the bank to verify these statements?'), payment-planning questions ('Would you be able to pay your tuition fees in one full amount? If not, what arrangements have you made?') and even 'Have you checked the University refund policy?'. With six intakes a year across its blended-learning model and study centres in Ealing, Holborn, Tower Hill, Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds, Arden interviews near-continuously rather than in seasonal waves, so preparation lead times are short. The interview is recorded and must be passed before a CAS is issued. Campuses: Coventry HQ; study centres in London (Ealing, Holborn, Tower Hill), Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds. Blended and online delivery heritage. Main intakes: Six intakes per year (January, March, May, July, September, November).
The cost of walking in unprepared
One recorded interview decides whether Arden University issues your CAS — no CAS, no visa application. Rehearsed answers and vague funding figures are the top stated refusal reasons. Arden's own guidance is explicit that the interview also tests your spoken English, not just your answers - unrehearsed, fluent responses matter as much as content.

Arden University pre-CAS interview FAQs
What is the Arden University credibility interview?
Arden's own recorded video interview before CAS issuance, testing that you are a genuine student: course knowledge, funding, intent - and, explicitly, your spoken English.
Does Arden test English in the credibility interview?
Yes. Arden states the interview also assesses English proficiency, so fluent, unscripted answers matter as much as content.
What happens if I fail the Arden credibility interview?
Arden can decline to issue the CAS. Rehearsed or inconsistent answers are the stated risk; a second attempt is at the university's discretion.
What questions does Arden ask in the credibility interview?
Why this course, why Arden, why the UK, exact costs and funding, accommodation and post-study plans - plus potentially unrelated questions to test genuine, unrehearsed communication.
How often does Arden run intakes?
Six times a year - January, March, May, July, September and November - so credibility interviews run year-round rather than seasonally.
